Omron VISO app Closing 05/01/2026

Unfortunately NW London NHS Commisioning team has declined to continue supporting this innovative technology app platform to help manage your blood pressure with your GP practice.

Important Dates and Next Steps:

  • January 5, 2026: Viso app enters a 30-day pause period. From this date, you will no longer be able to submit new blood pressure readings, but you can still access the app and receive messages. The app will display a live countdown to closure.
  • February 4, 2026: The Viso app and its dashboard will permanently close, and you will lose access to the app and your data.

What this means for you:

  • From January 5, you will no longer be able to log in or submit new blood pressure readings via the Viso app.
  • All your previous readings and history have already been securely transferred to your GP practice’s records.
  • If you wish to keep a personal copy of your historical data, you can download it using the link below. This will be available for 30 days after the app closes. After that, all data will be permanently deleted from Viso.

How to continue monitoring your blood pressure:

  • You can continue to monitor your blood pressure at home. We recommend using the free Omron Connect app, which allows you to track your readings for your own records. Please note, this app does not send your readings directly to the practice.
  • For your NHS care, we will continue to contact you for annual or routine blood pressure checks as usual. If you are due a check, we will contact you.

What to do if your blood pressure is high:

  • If your blood pressure is consistently above 180/100, or you experience severe headaches or other concerning symptoms, please contact the practice or call 111 immediately.

Medication and prescriptions:

  • There will be no changes to your medication or prescription ordering process. Please continue to order as you normally do via the NHS app, your pharmacist, or by contacting the practice.

Thank you for being a valued user of the Viso app. We remain committed to supporting your health and blood pressure management.
